EC135 TOT linitations

Hello

I have one questio about EC135 TOT limit during start?

Starting max TOT is 760*C with 2 sec max peak to 875. But 5 minute TOT limit is 869 and cont. TOT 835C.

Why is limit during start so low?

Tx

At a guess - insufficient cooling air flow at lower compressor/turbine speeds. Once the compressor is fully up to operating speed, there is much more air flowing through the "Cooling ducts" of the engine. Remember that air is used for cooling and flame shaping within the engine as well as for heating & other accessories "outside" the engine.
