..........generally Oil and Gas companies can be naive when awarding contracts , so much for their own in house aviation experience and technical knowledge when awarding some contracts post tender process , and the cargo in the back can be over critical at times.

Give the new guys/operation a chance , not been going that long , pretty sure it will pan out okay , bit early to be criticised to be honest.
