Post tail rotor strike

while low level filming of the australian safari car rally a bell jetranger hit a tree with the tail rotor and severed the tail boom.

the pilot managed to get the machine on the ground on its skids.

all aboard are ok.

Fortunately no injuries but I'm sure a few red faces! Despite PBs huge experience, it just goes to show that anyone can have a bump.
