I have just won a bet with the wife , I said upon reading the NOTAMs thats an accident waiting to happen. Thank goodness no one hurt, just a hazzrd I guess of that sort of survey work.

Fortunately my survey work was mostly done in locations that were a 2 week dogsled journey from the nearest power-lines.
When surveying in the “Powerline environment” extra vigilance was required.
I am thankful that no one was injured in this event.
I will speculate that some electronic components of the survey gear will require replacement due to this shocking event.
