Maximum Complex Type Ratings

Hi Guys,

I’ve seen it in operation manuals, but I am really struggling to find the legislation. Is there a maximum number of complex type ratings you can hold/fly regularly? Both EASA/UK legislation.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

It’s only a requirement for Commercial Air Transport.

Air Operations

Annex III PART-ORO

Subpart FC

Section 2 Additional Requirements for CAT

AMC1 ORO.FC.240 Operation on more than one type or variant. (B) Helicopters (iv)

In the UK, for commercial air transport I believe it's 2 if large helicopters (>5700kg or MOPSC >19) and 3 otherwise
