Jan Rustad RIP

Jan Rustad has left for clearer skies..
Well known mountain flying instructor has passed away.
He taught a lot of people from around the world how to fly helicopters in the mountain environment.
He will be missed. His techniques will live on in his students.

I'll hoist a glass to his memory. I can can still hear that distinctive lecturing voice trying to polish my skills.

Sad news indeed, which I had heard ealier on FB. I spent a week in Penticton in the summer of 2010, doing the VR course (with Mel) and Jan had a really great team there, full of enthusiasm and very high morale and team spirit.
