Buzzing around...

While lolling in the pool today, I saw an insect which reminded me of a friend back in Sydney in the 90s.

He had a Hughes 500, VH-FLY, and he wanted to convert it to a NOTAR. It was a lengthy exercise, and when the job was complete, he painted the large dome at the end of the tail-cone bright blue.

We asked how it flew after the conversion, and he said,

"It went like a blue-@rsed FLY!"

The MD520N did indeed have a blue bit right on the rear end, but it would not have been converted from an earlier 500 model.
