Local media reports the aircraft was crop spraying and came down in a cornfield, sadly the pilot did not survive.

Carolina Highway Patrol and local first responders are at the site of a helicopter crash north of Goldsboro, according to police.

A call came in about the downed helicopter at around 6 p.m, Wayne County dispatch told McClatchy News.

The pilot did not survive the crash, authorities at the scene told the Goldsboro Daily News.
