Abingdon Airshow / Country Show 2020 (incl Helimeet)

Hi all, i have been organising the Abingdon Airshow / Country Show now for some 20 years and this years (the 21st!) has a Helimeet theme to make it slightly different, aswell as the usual Flying Displays (which will be hopefully two thirds rotary based) aswell as Static aircraft / Fly-In aircraft, with Ground Attractions such as Live Music, Crafts, Classic vehicles, various exhibits through to Steam Miniature Engines and Arena Displays.

Within the afternoon Flying Display program of 2.5 hour duration i have within that in the rotary element the Historic Army Aircraft Flight Scout & Sioux, Gazelle pair from the Gazelle Squadron and Historic Helicopters lovely Wessex so far. Within the static element i have an Allouette II, Wasp, Gazelles, A109, Cabri and the debut of Historic Helicopters Sea King.

In brief, i am on the lookout for some more rotarys to join us as part of the Helimeet, however before anything else, a couple of points are that we do not have any fuel onsite so anyone interested in flying into Abingdon Airfield must have the required fuel for the trip, and there is a landing fee of £8 per person but, the monies raised from the visiting pilots goes towards the donation to be given to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Trust.

If you wish to book into us to fly a helicopter into Abingdon on showday 17th May, then please go to our website www.abingdonairandcountry.co.uk, to click 'Exhibitors Application Forms ' and go to the 'Fly In booking form', then simply fill out and email to the email address on the form.
We are open to Fly In visitors on showday 17th May from 08.45 to 12.30 Local but with rotarys the earlier part of that the better. We do also accept any rotarys that wish to stay overnight on the Saturday 16th, and we can accept from 14.00 Local to approx 17.00 Local but would have to find your own accomodation for the Saturday evening.

The earlier anyone wished to book into us the better as slots are starting to fill up.

All the best, Neil - Main Event Organiser
