S61s still flying?

Does anyone have a tally of S61s that are still flying or likely to be returned to airworthy status? Lots of scattered info on the internet, mostly out of date.
I'm trying to find the likely number of training hours that an operating S61 Sim could do.
Many thanks.
Rob.

~250, Just under 200 in active service (Canada, India, Falklands, Greenland, Malaysia, Spain & USA) and 50 in storage (predominantly Canada and USA)

Have you tried asking the simulator providers?

Yes. One might be losing their S61 Sim, it seems. As for the other provider, it is me.

The numbers are hard to follow with registration changes and out of date posts. Some are listed as being operational with Air Forces that no longer list them as active.

There are a number of “civilian” S-61 on the market being put up to pasture by the US DoS, however, those have been upgraded with performance improving main rotor blades by Carson and a glass cockpit.
Do your two sims reflect that configuration?

Not really the same machine. I believe the DoD ones are S61T with a modern EFIS system, along with other upgrades. Our Sim is pretty much the same as when it was built.

Are any of the upgraded S61Ts flying? I heard they were all parked.

The 'elderly' S61 EB which was specilly modded in the hull to allow rapid baggage tfr on the Penzance - IOS route is now apparently 'logging' many miles away from its long term home in the West Country.
