Pay Rates AUS Fires

Interested in the rates, day/flight hour for Bell medium and BK117 pilots in Australia for fires

Not sure of the latest rates but 5 years ago operators paid various combinations of day rate, hourly rate, flat rate and per diems. It ranged from around $600 basic plus hourly rate and per diem to $1200 flat rate.

At that rate you will have to spend you spare time driving around throwing cigarette ends out of the car window.

There have sadly been no shortage of fires in Australia for many years and I imagine that this season will be just as busy. A$600 basic plus 8 flying hours per day on an hourly rate will keep you in beer for the month. If you are still awake to drink it.
