I hope I can help with your question as to "Monkey Straps" I did a fair amount of research while trying to find who supplied the US Military. So here goes and my email is good.
The manufacturer is: Aerial Machine and Tool Corp
4298 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Vesta, Va 24177-0222

The phones I have (which may be old) are :
540-952-2006
540-952-2231
They built the Straps on contract The National Stock Number for the item is : 1680-00-982-9973 I did locate some similar rigs which are known as "Spie Harness" also by the same manufacturer and the National Stock Number is: 1670-01-068-8342.
If you are not in the US, get together with any military Organization that does business with the US and they may be able to find some used sets.

other companies that may manufacture the item are:
Wesco industries
1045 john Jones St
Burleston, Tx 76028

Phone 817-551-7063

Skyline Industries
1201 Forum Way Ft Worth, Tx 76101

Phone 817-551-1967

Good Luck and let me know if this helps.
