Not surprising... They built almost a third of it.

Already?

Well, when I joined the Navy in 1990 they promised us to be the first crew to be trained on the NH90 instead of the MK41 or the MK88.
Now, 29 years later , the NH90 shows up again as the most sophisticated.... helicopter for the German Navy to be delivered by 2025.

I guess it's like the airport BER in Berlin. It's never gonna happen.

But Lynx and NH 90 are very different in size and surely have different roles? Do the German Navy not put their Lynx on frigate sized vessels? will NH 90 fit?

That is the "Sea Lion", the replacement for the Seaking MK41. The replacement for the Lynx will be named " Sea Tiger ", a different version of the NH90

Not on the older frigates, but they will be out of service when the NH 90 arrives. The newer and the future frigates could accomodate the NH 90..

Will be interesting to see if they go thru the same pains with the NFH-90 as Norway and Netherlands and Germany and Australia with the NH-90 (not to mention all the problems with almost every other operator)
