NW200 Private heli hits powerlines

Seems like another wire strike in a 44 in a short time. What’s going on up there? Though this time they saw fit to fly it home after..... wonder what the AAIB will make of that!

Looks like Frank has developed a three bladed 44 after all - pity the picture only shows the mast head.
That should stop all the Robbie bashers

Homonculus,

Perhaps you should take another look at the report, unless my eyesight is mistaken the machine in the first picture looks remarkably like an R44......

Looks like the rotors didn't take out the wires since they seem undamaged - perhaps they caught on the skids.

Doesn't anyone recce the LS nowadays?

Well that’s 2 R44 wire strikes at low level in 3 months within a small geographical area. Rumours of FAA PPL’s conducting quasi CAT flights won’t help if the CAA start looking.
