Helicopter crash kills six people in Campos do Jordão, SP

Aircraft was found on Saturday night (24) in the Pico do Itapeva region. Vehicle belonged to the Cristália laboratory, which reported that in the fall the council vice president, her husband, a carpenter, an architect and two pilots died.

Six people were killed in a helicopter crash this Saturday (24) in Campos do Jordão (SP). The aircraft and the victims were found early in the evening in the Pico do Itapeva region, in the Serra da Mantiqueira.
At 8:10 p.m., the teams were still at the scene, rescuing the bodies. The helicopter, which belongs to the pharmaceutical industry Cristália, left Itapira (SP) in the morning to Campos do Jordão (SP), where it should have arrived around 11am. The victims were identified in a statement sent by the laboratory ( see below ).
From early afternoon, firefighters searched the aircraft. The corporation even used the Eagle helicopter to fly over the area, but had to return to the base because of the weather conditions of rain and haze.
The firefighters arrived at the crash site after picking up a radio signal from the helicopter, and with that, raised the coordinates of the location. The aircraft was located earlier this Saturday, around 7 pm. The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) also used a helicopter in the search.
The rugged aircraft is an Agusta AW109SP Grand New, prefixed with PT-FPS.

Victims

In a statement issued in the evening, the Cristália laboratory confirmed that the victims included Kátia Stevanatto Sampaio, shareholder and vice-president of the company's board, her husband, Paulo Sampaio, carpenter Ronoel Sholl and architect Leticia Telles.

The pilots of the aircraft were identified in the statement as Antonio Landi Neto and Juliano Martins Perizato.

The statement issued by the laboratory still deeply regrets the irreparable loss that this accident caused. The Cristália laboratory is a pharmaceutical industry and has two units in Itapira.
