Big plume of smoke out of the exhaust at about the 25 second mark. Engine failure?

Big plume of smoke out of the exhaust at about the 25 second mark. Engine failure?
And the fact that it all stopped quickly when it ran into the ground I would say that is a fair assumption.

I didn't know there were any helicopters in Bangladesh...I guess there's one less on the list now.

Excellent choice of take off path too. Open, flat, unrestricted space to the right but instead take off over the wires and buildings. Smart.

Is there not a means for engine disengagement, free wheeling, clutch, etc.?
Assuming there is, then failed engine would not stop the rotor. What else could do that on this model?

My thoughts exactly. Furthermore the direction of wind that almost yanked the umbrella from the guy close by seems to be parallel to the high-tension lines.
