FAA BFR .... anyone available up north ?!!

Just realised my BFR needs doing ... is anyone available up north ( ish ) ? Could fly to you in A109 anytime this week . Thanks .

I heard he has moved away but left message on his mobile . There must be other FAA instructors up here ?!! I let mine lapse a couple of years ago but may reinstate it !

Once you let it lapse the only way to re-instate is to do the ride over.

Yes , thought so , but it’s quite easy when there . Maybe a quick multiple answer test then a check ride with examiner if I remember correctly. If there are no current CFI over here I may get busy doing BFR,s myself ! ( I think a BFR only needs CFI and not examiner)

I will be in Surrey and Essex as of Wednesday’s next week for about a month, I can help, I’m a FAA CFII and DPE, Flew the A109 power for medieval for ages.

I once heard that a Fixed Wing FAA instructor can do a rotary BFR? Not sure if they need a rotary rating too? Try asking Taf at Breighton.

Nope---can only do category and class on your certificate...unless of course it has changed in the last 20 years.

BFR

Should be in the Hull area (home) next month for about a week, plenty of 109 Experience. FAA ATP CFI/ CFII / EASA CPL approx 12K TT
