Folks,

My apologies again for tardiness. I will endeavour to make up an excuse by next month.

Faced with the Devil's Own Choice this weekend - selfishly drive my child to football so he can end up concussed on the field while in my care, or ... selflessly help a mate by driving his brand spanking new AMG Merc to a remote location and fly his machine back..... I was level-headed enough to chose the latter. Fortuitously my wife was available to ensure that #2 son was at the match, concussed, and available to spend the night vomiting in hospital. Anyway ...... helicopters ... Sikorsky's Opioid for the few.

This month's picture is reminiscent of my first hovering lesson where my instructor said "pick a blade of grass and focus on it" ....... he seemed oblivious to the fact that we were about to mow a strip 30 feet wide. It is an NH90 mid-display at RAF Fairford as captured by steely-eyed lens man Peter Barham (who likely should have been running for some spares as the machine had flown over 12 minutes already).

You can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ri515g5067...ugust.jpg?dl=0

And if like Craig Parsons you would like to share a pic that you, or a mate like Peter Barham, took then please share at: [email protected] . Anything over 1MB is good.

Be safe ....

Pete

(ps. Yes he is ok, but not ideal in a week of Yr12 exams).

Arrgh... I've been outed by actual name!

They did bring a spare NH90, just in case.
