‘Water bombing’ helicopters in UK
I see reports in UK news of helicopters being called to assist firefighters in Scotland deal with a number of wild fires. Are these military, coastguard, fire service or other/private machines? Couldn’t see pictures in reports.
Is this a regular response in uk these days?
thanks for the info.

If the crewman is conning the pilots from an open door in the back then it is military or CG. If instead the pilot has his head out looking at the load it is a civilian contractor.
I would guess it is PDG being used - they have been in the past

I don't think we have any fire buckets left in the UK Mil (except perhaps in Cyprus) the last ones I saw were in the Falklands and are probably still there.
