I try to stick to facts about technicals matters and safety (I'm a kind of a safety maniac I must say, sorry about that !).
The article say that Curty is folowing closely CS-27 and that is a very good thing (if it's true) but there is a slight difference between to folow closely and to comply : the certification !
Zefhir come from the DISRUPT european project that was conceived to "satisfay market demand for a more secure and reliable ultralight helicopter" : Disrupt
And if you read in full the article you'll read "in light of the new European regulation which will raise the take-off weight limit to 600 kilograms, the procedure to obtain a Type Certificate as ultralight with DULV (Deutschen Ultraleichtflugverband) is underway. This certification will in the next few months open the way to use Zefhir for all recreational and sports applications, as well as flight schools for ultralight helicopters, in Germany and in any country that recognizes the German ultralight certification."

Hello aa777888,
I do read read the posts.
It will not fly in the US, it will be (if the project comes to an happy end) an ultralight in Europe so too heavy for the US.
