Living The Dream!!!!

A long time ago, Leonardo da Vinci said,
"For once you have tasted flight
You will walk the earth
With your eyes turned skywards,

Well, after just over 4 years of retirement, I returned to the skies and got a new entry in my logbook:

I shot some photos a few years ago of John Eacott doing the exact same thing at Duxford. Cant remember if it was in the Grace spitfire or another two seater there.

And excellent pictures they are, Ned It was a TR9 unlike Grace's which is a modified single seater: the advantage is the rear cockpit is stepped up and gives a better view. But the lovely Merlin growl still sounds like a Fergie tractor inside





I'm intrigued what Grecian 2000 that MightyGem is using: as a retired HP he should have not only less hair but a significantly lighter shade!

Who is the smartarse - MG or TC?

Genuinelly I can get ot much cheaper @ Duxford....trust me.

MG, how long did you have to wait to get called fwd to fly in the Spit?
