Anyone written the CAAC ATPL-H exam? What would one use as a study guide and are there any useful question banks available for prep? Need to take mine in the very near future, but no leads on preparation material. Thanks, much appreciated

I would try the Asia and Far East thread. I have done the CAAC ATPL(H) exam and got the license but I am now ten years out of date.
If you have a job with a Chinese operator then they should point you in the right direction. No job, no chance.

Thank you Fareastdriver
. I received a very small bank of questions from the Chinese operator. However, many of questions are quite weird and some of the answers don't really fit. Yes Asia / Fareast might be a better option. Cheers

Yeah, that's right. The English translation doesn't quite fit many questions, and sometimes the last few words of the translated question gets truncated because the allowed number of characters in the software gets used up. I proof read many of the questions and made suggestions, but that was 2 years ago and I don't know if the question bank was tweaked as a result. But still, as they were written you should still be able to get the gist of the questions and be able to answer them. Don't sweat too much about it.

If you are getting help from your operator then stick with him.. The Asia/ Fareast thread is solid with whingers and they are all plank drivers. The exams are computer based, or were, with multiple choice answers similar to the Australian exams. In my time some of the verbal's were with an Oz accent. The instrument questions are all fixed wing high level airways stuff. You will have to do an English Comprehension Test even if you are British. I failed mine at first because I didn't wait long enough for the computer to count down before I spoke but they reviewed it and gave me a pass.
