News article here, but someone from the team has posted better movie footage on facebook showing the attempt to extinguish the fire on the ground

Not the best picture. I’m sure a number of other 76 folks saw the pic, thought: that’s where the rotor brake is, and the ship just came out of annual...hmmm, too coincidental? A shame, in any case.

Well done indeed, but I suspect he has merely saved some components that can be sold - a 1982 A model is probably worth about $4-500K and I can't imagine getting any change out of that for the repairs!

Damned busybody with a hosepipe!!
You should never put a 1982 Helicopter fire out due to risk of huge explosion 💥 just like in the films !
