EC145s for Lifeflight Australia

Just saw this buzzing around my house. Looks like Lifeflight has added EC145s for their fleet.


CASA register is still showing these as owned by CHC, have they been sold?

I heard that two of them were replaced by 109's, exported from CHC into Canada for CHL and have been overhauled at Heli Welders.

How many were there?

Looks like something from Fast and the Furious.

Never noticed before how deadly those front skid spikes are.

Always thought that myself until I finally found out what they're for. They're part of the wire strike kit to make sure that anything that misses the lower cutter doesn't hook over the skid tubes. Still look a bit vicious though

Ex NSW Ambo contract machines?

Not the greatest thing in Australia. Poor Hot performance and I think another gripe was these particular ones have no A/C.

Several EMS aircraft have no A/C.
