Clyde Helicopters and Gleneagle Helicopters
Hello,
I was wondering if there was anybody on the forum who would be able to kindly give me some background for Clyde Helicopters and Gleneagle Helicopters operations in Glasgow and upper Clydeside for some historical research I am doing?
Many Thanks
Keith

Ask ahead - i was with Burnthills at the time - Clyde Helicopters was formed by Joe McGachy, one of Burnthills' engineers. Wasp helicopters was also there. Borrowed their machines a lot.

I think that you can contact John Pinkerton through PPRuNe - jpinx.
He and Pat Orchard were definitely Gleneagle Helicopters - prior to that John was with Sloane with Peter Boitel-Gill, Peter Nutting, Mike Horrell, Paddy Jones etc..

Griff - the joys of being an itinerant aviator. :-). BTW The events of 1990 at Clyde were the inspiration for my first novel 'For The Price of a Hat'. Anyone who knows the story of the accident will understand where I was coming from.
