Is it true that there is now no other repair \ rebuild facility for the MD gearboxes other than MDHI & the cost has risen $30\40K

Think yourself lucky it's not a 109 .... That's nearly 10 X and only they can do it . Even if you just have damaged casing ... Can you replace the casing ? Errrr No! You need a full inspection by Leonardo and they are trying to kill off the Mk2 .....therefore cheapest route is just buy another one as plenty around .

Heliwork at Thruxton still had 500 gearboxes on their approval in 2016.
