Secret Squirrel....

Saw the not unusual sight of a helicopter parked on the sport field at Tally Ho Police Training Center next to Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.

this one though was painted matt black and had no markings at all. S76 sort of shape. Any info?

There are some Agusta 109s around the UK that now sport matt black schemes and 'discrete' registrations.

Did it have a camera fitted PB?
There was a black twin squirrel with camera around Brum recently, perhaps 'BHX movements' might be somewhere to start.

I'm surprised that regs permit a registration that's not in a contrasting colour.
That would be difficult to identify unless up close.

Sometimes up *really* close.

Spot the registration on this one: Clue - The registration characters are several inches high and in a prominent location.

No camera. I work in the city centre and have noticed a lot of extra activity since the Westminster Bridge incident.

Is Mat black paint a good camouflage for an aircraft; would that not be the "best" colour to see from the ground against a blue sky?
