April 2017 Rotorheads Calendar
Dear All,
Well a miracle occurred ... just as I was about to choose between a fairly graphic picture I took of H269 blade roots glistening in secreted grease, and an alternative image, randomly submitted to the rotorheads.calendar.pictures @ gmail.com address by "Trinidad Babe", (whom I suspect is not a member of the Rotorheads community as her uniform was unlikely to pass muster even in the Mustering circuit) .. I got this ....
This flawlessly composed, exposed, and nuanced image by Andrew Griffiths captures the Southern migration of a pair of AW 169 Flying Foxes en route to their ancestral breeding ground near Albert Park Lake.
The AW 169 pairs for life. Pairing is a loose term, it's a polyamorous arrangement that generally includes a LAME, and on special anniversaries, a factory accredited stripper (who ideally can put it back together again).
You can download this image here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n998bcqcnx...02017.jpg?dl=0
A reminder, you download by going to the "3 dots" at the upper right and selecting "Download" as per this picture:
Be like Trinidad Babe ... send me unsolicited pictures if that's what you are into ... but if you happen to have something as wonderful as what Andrew creates daily lurking on your hard drive ... please send, otherwise next month I will start an extended series on "Lock Wires as Art".
Stay safe.
Pete

OK ... an admission .... you might think I was one of the Sky God brethren pumping out calendars month after month ... staring at my laminated ATPL(H) so I could see my reflection .... but ....
I was a fraud .....
Well until today ... when I got my CPL(H) ....
Can't say I wasn't trying ...
I've done my bit .... now send photos ...
