Shy,
I already knew I was missing some point in your post.
But for a non native English speaking Dutchman,
I thought I did not reply to bad?
Always prepared to learn more (on English)
So please enlighten me

SLB - Ox as in oxen, its a small stretch to make it oxy (as in ox-like) and then add the moron. I think that is where Shy is coming from but I may have missed it completely as well

Personally I thought you nailed it with "modest pilots" - a pure oxymoron!

SLB,

You are quite correct in your interpretation.

But as Crab wrote, I did mean "ox" (y) as in cattle and "moron" as in a stupid person. We Brits do use double meanings quite a lot, just for our own amusement.

212:
That e.g. of a post was bang on ........or should I say:
Your acronym describing the oxymoron was onomatopoeic in essence.

tut, tut.........or is that a palindrome?

I'm constantly quietly amused every time I see people buying bottled water.
The one that makes me giggle the most is: EVIAN...........your starter for ten.....?

Is EVIAN a synonym or homonym ? It's obviously not an antonym.

There is probably a clever term for it but look at what EVIAN spells backwards
