AS350/AS355 operators with IPad based EFBs
Hi! We are in the process of implementing EFBs (using iPads) in our company. As part of the process we need to check for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) with aircraft equipments. Do you know of any helicopter operator flying AS350/AS355 that has approved EFBs using IPads?
Many thanks,
Pedro da Silva

Hi Pedro,
We have EFB's approved for all aircraft including AS350 as you mention.
Our EFB's are iPad Mini with approved software, there are regulations pertaining to the operation, currency of charts, power source backup and integrity of the EFB but our CAA authority has made no mention of EMI.

Many thanks for your answer! Can you tell me what are the applications that you are using with the IPad? I supose you don't have any aircraft GPS position/navigation app (like Skydemon or Air Nav Pro) included right? We are following the AMC 20-25 and these are not allowed. Do you use the EFB for W&B calculations?
Thanks again,
Pedro da Silva
