Whats going on in Aberdeen?

I was out minding my own business this week in my glass cockpit, full-fadec volume-control puddle-jumper when I hear Agusta on the radio with a new helicopter? Anyone know whats going on?

You were not in a Bell 205/212 then were you as there is scant "Volume Control" on those.

....but I thought the 189 was dead in the water so-to-speak? I know BHL was using them, but I heard they had been parked in favour of the 225, God knows what they are using now, probably 139s?

Hardly dead - Bel Air, WestStar, Vietnam Helicopter Company, Gulf Helicopters, Falcon Aviation, Dubai Air Wing (in VVIP role) and AAR/BIH are all using them. Aberdeen has been slow to realise that 16 is the new 19!

Two AW189s have been pretty busy at Norwich since the 225's grounding. My understanding is it's going down well with the clients.
