AW139 flashcards?
Been flying the Aw139 for a while and was trying to understand the systems a lot better, the recent 139 crash an example of a need to understand the aircraft better. I looked at Dauntless air cardswhich seem to be more for our fixed wing brethrenand was wondering if anyone had created a set of flashcards for the aircraft. The few examples i found on Quizlet seemed to be only focusing in on hydraulics or electrics and were just created to help the individuals involved learn the aircraft.Or if anyone had found any apps that helped with this particular aircraft, either from sportys or rod machado (i am not affiliated with any organisation mentioned)

We are working on flashcards, in the meantime learn the systems the way real pilots do, studying them and through appropriate tutoring.
Flashcards are of little use in the cockpit.

In the US, Part142 Training Centers (i.e. Simuflight, FlightSafety) have issued plastic flashcards as part of their official type rating and recurrent training curriculum materials for many years. These have gone away to some degree with the advent of tablet based learning. For mandatory memory items, its just another learning tool.

Thanks tottigol, I understand the lack of humour on the subject, flash cards are just another tool I use when trying to walk the dog, it's the only free time I get in the busy household. Can you let me know when you release the flashcards on android or Apple.

Rewritable. At the risk of being labelled a geek, there are seven defined learning styles and instructors often need to try and identify which one works best for an individual student. If flash cards work for you then go for it. I find they work particularly well for learning and refreshing aircraft limitations.

How do you verify the accuracy of the third-party flashcards then?
I have seen similar things produced by keen military pilots in the past only to realise they had got some of the information wrong.

The cards I have along with many others that have ordered them from a colleague here in Oz over many years, are from the RFM. There can be slight differences in the phases though.
The fundamentals are very accurate. They are ideal for your morning or afternoon walk,run, jog or fishing expedition on tour and I like doing them in amongst my dodgy Qantas curry chicken or hot breakfast meal and movie across the country...But nothing compares to the pilot type training notes and RFM i must confess.

For anyone interested i got the flashcards from Flashaviation.biz . Uses a program called Flashcards deluxe (although a program on both Apple and Android stores, the flashcards only seem to work on Apple). Thanks to bellytank
