Airbus just patented what could be the world's fastest helicopter
A conventional helicopter has one source of anti-torque, the tail rotor. It is on a long moment arm but still produces sideways thrust. The main rotor must tip in hover to produce an equal but opposite sideways thrust. For the X3 the lever arm would be smaller and the thrust greater to generate the same anti-torque. The X3 would then need to tip forward or backward to counter this thrust.
