The Goldfish Club

I would like to introduce The Goldfish Club for those of you not aware of our existence.

The club has existed since 1942 ... to keep alive the spirit of comradeship arising from the mutual experience of members surviving, "coming down in the drink".

The club is open to both civilian and military, private and commercial, rotary and fixed-wing aircrew ... the only qualifying criteria is that you must be aircrew, have ditched in a aircraft and been subsequently rescued from the water.

For more information or to join the club, please visit the website:
www.thegoldfishclub.co.uk

Please help spread the word.

SOP for a ditching was get the SARBE going for your tankard and inflate the rubber boat for the Goldfish Club

Dad joined the Goldfish Club a couple of years ago when I pushed him to: he bobbed around the Aegean Sea after being shot down in 1943

John, my father had a similar experience with a Botha in the English Channel - he even logged "4 hours dinghy"!

My father ditched in a Whirlwind in the 60's in Antarctica, is it possible to see if he was a member?
