Bell 407 GXP

Quick question: who in Europe can provide training for a Bell 407 GXP type rating? Is it the same endorsement as the 407 / 407 GX?

Hello Spunk,

Atlas Air Service AG has sold the first GXP in Germany few weeks ago, they must have the answer.

407 / 407GX(P) is the same type rating but you need a differences course between the two.

The EASA Type Rating & License Endorsement List dated 17/12/2015 as well as the OSD FC material only list the 407 and the 407 GX but not the GXP (modified engine). Still same rating / differential training (self-study) only?

I would think the GXP is only a version of the 407GX so familiarisation would be in order. Much like the AS350B3 / AS350B3e.

Talk to Cristian at EliCompany, they have a 407GX in Italy, went and shot it last year. They also have a training school so presume they could help.
