Probably worth checking with HeliAir - Heli Air - Helicopters Nationwide - Robinson Helicopters for Sale

It was never open all the time although about a year ago they applied restrictions to arrivals and departures when not manned.

So who's got it for this year?

Why did they lose it?

I think it must revolve around differences in operating philosophy . I hear they've been given notice at Wellesbourne as well (although this may be to do with the Government wanting houses there), and Thruxton seem to have similar differences.

Everybody at Wellesbourne has had notice to quit as the site is being sold for housing.

Aren't they also involved in protracted lease negotiations at Booker?

They obtained all the leases from WAC just before they were due to expire. Since then, nobody really knows who the landlord is, since to be a "competent landlord" under the relevant Act there's a time period of 14 months involved. In the meantime, the council appear to be running things directly, or at least the rent is being paid to them instead of a concession holder, and they don't seem to want to change that any time soon. So the notices to quit that Heliair seem to be issuing everybody are unenforceable.
