Rex Budd Memorial Mareeba
A memorial park is being set up at Mareeba aerodrome in honour of ex-RAAF jet and helicopter pilot and pioneering mustering helicopter operator Rex Budd DFC.
There will be a dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. on December 19th at the site, around 5 km south of Mareeba township, around 45 minutes drive from Cairns.
The memorial is situated close to the airport turnoff from the Mareeba-Atherton road, near the car park and existing war memorial.
