HLS near Canberra

Anyone know of any HLS near Canberra for casual landings? I'm aware of a winery closer to the southern highlands, but was after something closer.

Thanks

We tried to land at Floriade this year...put the whole place into panic mode...they were polite, and (of course) had no idea what to advise us. Except the following two riveting points. a) you need to follow CASA regulations and b) there is an airport nearby and you may need permission to enter the airspace. Hilarious, as they denied us permission in any event.

Floriade 2015

i.e. Canberra is "special" and not in a good way.

That said we have landed at Raiders oval, and another site without problem. Anything owned or controlled by the NCDC (or whatever it is called now) is a massive problem. Never ask a public servant for permission to land...they simply cannot process the request. "NO" is the only answer you will get.

Try any private property, or Dick's place out of town.

Good luck !

PS - the airport is also OK, the ATC guys are very helpful.
