Low R44

I live in Dunedin,New Zealand. Sitting in my lounge last night watching the rugby replay, I think to myself, here comes a helicopter
Then I think gee that sound's close
So tearing my self away from the rugby I spin my recliner to look out the window. Now when I looked out the window, and I mean straight out the window, remember this is my flipping lounge here, I see a brown R44 with a couple of guys in it about 150ft AGL if that flying up the road below me.
I could clearly see these fellas and thought to myself WTF!!They flew directly over houses etc. Just didnt seem right.
Just wondering if anyone here might know how to get away with that sort of thing. No they weren't taking off or landing. The heliport is about 1Nm away and I'm Not anywhere near a flight path in or out.
I never even thought to get the rego I was so surprised.

Comments or suggestions?

Cheers

As you didn't get the rego there's not a lot you can do. I'd go back to watching the rugby.

yes I can advise you how to get a way with it, find houses where old guys with dodgy eyesight and slow reaction times live then go for it? Youll be long gone before thye get into gear.

I would have thought that kind of thing was a regular occurrence over the ditch

Wish I had a comeback for that other than "Yea Nah"

Cool

I used to fly an R44 in the UK and the Reg was GOLOW I thought
You meant that one. I remember one rubbish weather day scud running
Down the Irish coast and lady working at Belfast on the RT commenting
On the reg due to my low flying !
On my return the next day in good weather at 2 k feet the same
Girl commented that we actually could fly high
Was amusing at the time
