Question What's happening to the UK helicopter fleet?

I'm trying to figure out what's actually been happening recently with the fleets at all the UK operating bases. There's a lot of changes but no real information online.

We all know fleet sizes are reducing, but I can't see where and what has been affected. Certainly it's not something these companies are publicising! So for all companies (Bristow, Bond, CHC, NHV...) what are they actually flying and where?

Has anyone here heard a bit more about what's going on!?

Thanks in advance.

(From someone trying to understand where we stand at the moment..)

They won't put that sort of information online (commercially confidential, don't you know), but some of us maintain detailed records from public sources...

Yeah, 'commercial confidentiality' is a real sticking point!!
... Hmm oh really? That's interesting.. Any way to pass on what these public sources are by any chance?

Thank you. The G-info is interesting. I had another good look around the CAA but the best I could find was based in 2014 - so a bit outdated all things considered.

Any pointers to where I could look on there/elsewhere for more update fleet/location info?

Or does anybody know - all this reduction in fleet, where abouts is it happening in the UK?

Night Owl - G-INFO is just one such public source of such information, but it doesn't tell you anything about foreign reg helicopters operating from UK bases, which G- reg helicopters are operating or stored outside UK, accident data, etc etc.

ler1992 - what's your angle on finding this information, career prospects or what? If we can understand the Q better, we may be able to help better. Is it just offshore fleets that interest you - as your Q suggests?

helihub: career prospects.

I have an interview and would like to brush up on my knowledge and to have a more thorough understanding of 'what's where' and the current situation given the O&G market..

I don't want to base (what will hopefully be) a discussion on fleet impact on purely rumours and hear-say, just in case what it's way off base.

This may or may not help but the CAA does publish lists of recently registered and de-registered aircraft on their website.

In my opinion the laid up machines follow the talk of redundancies talked about on here
Bristow ,chc and nhv/dancopter have all announced layoffs and redundancies.
The fact you have an interview in such times is interesting... best of luck
