landing on a yacht

Quick question for the sailors among us:

Let's assume you owned a private yacht (US registered) and a private helicopter (US registered) and you wanted to land with your private helicopter on your private yacht which, let's assume, is sailing somewhere in french territory. Will you require any special kind of permission to do so?
Is the Yacht considered to be US territory or will you require the french "helisurface permit" being issued to the pilot?

Thanks for answering,

Spunk

A special Yacht permit is required.

Probably depends if you are the King of Saudi Arabia - he seems to be able to write his own rule book in France
