Tony Stevens - Marathon des Sables

Some of you may be aware that Tony Stevens (Bond Air Services) is currently running the Marathon des Sables in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. It's an awesome effort for an elite athlete so for a 50-something helicopter pilot with a love of beer and a fear of bright sunshine, it's nothing short of superhuman.

If you get a couple of minutes, we'd be grateful if you could have a look at his fundraising page at...

...and consider giving a couple of quid. More info here...

Mods: I hope the blatant begging is acceptable. It's all in a good cause!

Cheers,

Tim Jones

Get on the site, look at the day 2 and 3 pictures and get an idea of how tough this is. Then look at the 'dropout' list, fabulous effort Tony

Thanks for the blatant begging Tim, I've seen a couple of contributions from old PPRuNe friends on the charity site so a big thank you to them. It was an amazing adventure and we started off each morning with an impressive display by the Squirrel camera ships over the start line - it was just like being back in Nam (Chelten'am)

Cheers
