Police Helicopter Bird Strike

The Dallas Police helicopter had a severe bird strike but other then minor injuries, except for the bird, all safe.

Must be a bad week for them the same unit took out two ducks without damage or injury last week with a different jockey.

This time it was a Coot through the pilots screen.

Not life threatening in itself but the pilot was certainly disabled as far as flying goes.

Visor use encouraged.

It really pays to have your visor down. Especially when flying single pilot.
