QES Caught short

Rumour has it that apparently Queensland Emergency services has been doing overtime ringing helicopter operators to check availability, in the area of Cyclone Marcia. But they don't want to put any helicopters on stand by. Now that the storm has got a lot worse Energex and Ergon have booked the helicopters earlier, and QES may be short assets. Its disappointing that Government departments expect operators to have millions of dollars of equipment, and hire in pilots but aren't interested in ensuring those same people are rewarded for their work.

Thank you for removing the previous masogynistic and fatuously politically biased comments. By the time I had drafted my response they were gone. Someone had to deal with this before the perpetrators went blind!

Happy to have my last posting removed as well to keep the thread on track.

Regards to you
