A ton of hash never made it to market due to the lack of NVG capability.

Thought for a second it was the authorities ferrying a confiscated lot, but realized Guardia Civile and Policia have replaced their BO105 with EC135.

Or it might be the FAMET on law enforcement duty carrying the stuff to a secure site to be destroyed.

Reporters are having a rough job:

The above BO 105 looks like a former military aircraft. Maybe an ex german army BO 105? If I remember correctly a bunch of them were sold to Albania.

Helilog / CBS

Indeed - I perhaps failed to see the irony / sarcasm of CBS post, in which case please excuse me. Short fuse today.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away there was a 206 flying a Shell production job. At the end of the day, the 206 was flying up Matagorda (Texas) beach when, low and behold, the passengers spotted a bale of marijuana on the beach. As good, law abiding citizens, they dutifully landed, picked up the bale and radioed ahead for the police to meet the aircraft at the base. The salt water logged bale was properly turned over to the authorities.

When the Houston office heard about it they had collective apoplexy and immediately ordered that no Shell aircraft pick up contraband from the beach. Imagine the headline should the aircraft crash with drugs on board. "Shell aircraft carrying drugs crashes."
