Bell 429 DME question
Hello!! I am evaluating the Bell 429 for purchase to be operated in a country where most approaches are still VOR/DME approaches, and from what I can find in the literature the 429 does not have DME installed as standard in the IFR package, I understand you can get excellent readings from GPS, but without DME you cannot legally fly a VOR/DME approach, any of you guys that fly the 429 can help clarify this point? Thank you in advance
Depends on how stone-age your aviation authority is (you didn't specify which country). Here since 1998 you haven't needed a DME install to fly a VOR/DME.
