Carter Copter
Im not a rotary guy, but i do think that Gyroplanes are great!
I have a friend who flies one and was lucky enough to get some flights in it, any way thats not why im posting.
The Carter Copter, Is it still in development? If so how far is it to completion.
I had heard that the tips of the rotor was loaded with depleted uranium to give it a greater momentum, is that true, to give it greater short field (roof top) performance. Also, that, once airbourne it transitions to fly like a fixed wing A/C, if thats true, would you need 2 licences? i.e. rotary and fxd wing?
If it does become commercially available would any of you consider using it?
thanks
