EHA Challenges Flight-time Limits

Not seen this on here yet. Doesn't concern me though.

...Pilots work seven days on/14 off/seven on/21 off, a system that provides availability of 97 to 98 percent...
That's 105 working days and 260 days off per year. Correct me if I'm wrong.

IIRC, the seven days 'on' is 7 x 24hr duties. So not just your regular 'days' work.

Any companies out there distinguish between night and day totals for duty?
I find it strange why fatigue is not linked to night flying.
Yes, total hours change depending upon check-in time, but that does not account for shorter days during winter, for example?

Not so much night flying but the amount of hours in a duty is governed by the time you "clock on".

That's my point - if we are serious about "fatigue" then why does night manoeuvring eat up the same 'duty' as AP-in day cruise?
All the safety wisdom clearly states night operations as more stressful - therefore more fatiguing......and yet no differentiation is made.
The FTDL considers circadian rythems etc but not the obvious, imho.

As long as NPAS are allowed to work the dangerous 3/3/3 shift system......

What dangerous 3/3/3 system is that?
What NPAS units are working it?
