slow formation fly by

I just heard the unmistakable sound of multi-engine aviation and dashed outside to see a tight-ish formation of 4 dark coloured helicopters approaching, very, very slowly.

I am about 4 miles west of White Waltham, the aircraft came from the north and slowly disappeared to the south. Very strange.

Does anyone on here know what it is all about?

they usually only send the one, often at night, with a bright light pointing at the ground, it usually circles until everyone has been woken up and then it clears off. If they are sending 4 out in daylight they are deffo getting braver!

Sounds like it. I'd stay away from the curtains and only leave by the back door.

they just came over again! Still low, slow and from the north. I also discovered the limitations of the camera in my phone, trying to see the screen against a background of bright sky caused me to get 3 and a bit in the picture, twice.

Something is afoot.

They were dark coloured/black. I didn't run a notam 'cause I thought it was too late after seeing the first pass....... had I known they were going to do replay!
