Olympic Air Hughes 500 Crash

Olympic Air just lost a Hughes 500 while doing Cedar Logging in Washington State. The aircraft is broke but the Pilot survived with Facial and Internal Injuries and is being treated at the local Hospital.

"Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer said the helicopter, a Hughes 369, crashed Tuesday while lifting cedar blocks. Only the 63-year-old pilot was on board."

"The helicopter wasn't far off the ground when it hit a cable and crashed."
